Construction Underway on Three New Rides at Water Safari That Plans to Open June 27
Construction on three new rides is underway for the new season at Enchanted Forest Water Safari in Old Forge, which is expected to open in a few weeks.
The Skybox Drop Floor Launch Pads are in for The Mamba Strike and Kilimanjaro's Revenge and the colorful tube racers of Serengeti Stampede have been installed. I've been on a drop floor slide and can tell you, if you're looking for a thrill, these rides will definitely give it to you. They are NOT for the faint at heart. And I can't wait for both to open.
The Mamba Strike
A 285 foot enclosed body slide that loops around Serengeti Stampede after the trapdoor floor opens and drops you onto the slide.
A 207 foot long speed slide that drops you through the floor and zooms you to the finish in one long drop.
A 293 foot long four-lane mat racer. The Serengeti Stampede replaced the old Serengeti Surf Hill.
Enchanted Forest Water Safari is hoping to open Saturday, June 27th. The date may changed based on the phased reopening and guidance from New York State. Plans are being made to ensure a clean, safe and healthy experience at the park. "When the information is finalized, and guidance is received from New York State, it will be released in advance of our target opening date."
