"This is the stuff strong communities are made of." Jason Bates of Galva, Illinois is overwhelmed at the support shown to his cousin Carl Bates who has cancer. Their small community came together to harvest Carl's 450 acres and the story is going viral.

Carl, who doesn't have much time left watched as 40 people, working 10 combines, 12 grain carts and 16 semis, 12 donated by Rumbold & Kuhn, harvested his fields in 10 hours. A job that would normally take a week.

The show of community support was so great, they actually had more volunteers than they needed.

This is community support at its finest. You can take your big city living. I'll take small town life any day.
