A Central New York Motorcycle Club who's members are exclusively police and corrections officers, first responders, and military personnel are collecting items to help their brethren who have fallen on hard times. Here's how you can help.

The Shotgun Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club formed a local chapter about two years ago and like many CNY organizations, have been hampered by the COVID-19 pandemic. Planned fundraisers like an August ride had to be cancelled because of guidelines and protocols. But as people who have always persevered, the group found another way to help.

On December 19 and 20 the club, working with The Veterans Outreach Center , will be collecting clothing, furniture, foods, and personal care items for those who have served. Items can be dropped off at 3480 Oneida Street in Chadwicks (Chadwicks Plaza) between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. both days. Here are some of the items needed:

  • Clothing - winter apparel, socks, underwear,
  • Toiletries/personal care items
  • New/Used Furniture
  • Household Items
  • Shelf Stable foods
  • Milk
  • Meats
  • Cell Phone Chargers

Cash donations will also be accepted and given to the Veteran's Food Pantry. All social distancing guidelines will be in place and masks will be required during donation drop-offs. For more information call 315-520-0826 or visit the Club's Facebook page.
