Big Frog is proud to be a voting member of the Country Music Association.  As such, we have the opportunity to help select the 2013 CMA Award winners November 6.  To be a true reflection of Central New York, we'd like you to help cast the ballot.  Click to vote for your choice.

The CMA Awards are based on people who have achieved fame in Country Music between July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013.  There are 12 award categories and over the past few months the list of nominees have been pared down to 6.  Over the next few days, we'll feature one of the 12 categories.

Here's how the voting is currently progressing:

Entertainer of the Year - Luke Bryan 71%

Female Vocalist of the Year - Carrie Underwood continues to lead Miranda Lambert by a slim margin.

Male Vocalist of the Year - Keith Urban 85%

Vocal Group of the Year - Lady Antebellum has a slim lead over The Band Perry and Zac Brown Band.

Vocal Duo of the Year - Florida Georgia Line has a comfortable lead

Voting is still open in all categories.  Today, we feature the final artist award for 2013.  Here is the criteria for the New Artist of the Year.

This Award goes to the artist. The Award is to the artist, whether individual or a group, who is known primarily as a Country artist, who has for the first time demonstrated the most significant creative growth and development in overall chart or sales activity (of a debut or sophomore album), live performance, professionalism and/or national media recognition related to the launch of their career. Any artist who has previously won a CMA Award (except Song of the Year, Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year) or who has twice been a final nominee for the Horizon Award or New Artist of the Year Award is ineligible for nomination.

The five finalists are (in alphabetical order) and the songs that fall in the time period.

Lee Brice - 'Hard To Love,' 'I Drive Your Truck' and 'Parking Lot Party'

Brett Eldredge - 'Don't Ya'

Florida Georgia Line, 'Cruise' and 'Get Your Shine On'

Kip Moore - 'Beer Money' and 'Hey Pretty Girl'

Kacey Musgraves - 'Merry Go 'Round' and 'Blowin' Smoke'

Please select one in the poll below.
