There are several back to school drives to collect supplies for kids. But what about new clothes? The owners of a central New York pizzeria are stepping up to help students start school in style this year.

Pat and Carmen Lindsey, owners of Luigi’s Pizzeria in Boonville are helping families in the Adirondack School District with the cost of back to school clothing. Donations are being collected until September 1st at the pizzeria. The Lindsey's will then match all contributions.

Owner Pat Lindsey tells the Boonville Herald she wants the money to go where it will do the most good. “Any person or church group that may know of a family in need can reach out to me at 315-942-4425. They can remain anonymous if they like. I know how hard it is for kids today to try and fit in."

$1000 has been raised so far and the Lindsey's hope to add to that. "The community has been very supportive."

The couple hopes to make this an annual event after seeing the overwhelming success this year.

Luigi's Pizzeria is located at 104 Water Street in Boonville if you'd like to help.
