Burger King’s Yumbo Sandwich Returns After 40 Years – Our Taste Test [VIDEO]
It's been 40 years since Burger King served the Yumbo, a ham and cheese sandwich that debuted in 1968. It was taken off the menu in 1974, a year after I was born. Tad was around but doesn't remember it. We took Dave Wheeler to give the Yumbo a try.
You can get a Yumbo as part of Burger King's 2 for $5 deal. It consists of ham, cheese, lettuce and mayo on a hoagie bun.
To celebrate the return of the Yumbo, Burger King has gone retro, turning their Facebook page back 40 years. Imagine trying to take a selfie with a Polaroid while listening to your 8 trax and working on your computer before taking a break to play Atari.
