Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Divorcing After 10 Years

One day after their 10th wedding anniversary, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have announced they are calling it quits and plan to file for a divorce.

The couple released a statement on their divorce:

"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding."

The two began dating in 2004 after striking up a friendship on the set of Pearl Harbor in 2001. They tied the knot June 29th, 2005 in a private ceremony in Turks and Caicos where the man marrying them was the only one present. They have three children together, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3.

TMZ claims the couple will share custody of the children and are sitting down with a mediator to split assets.
