The holiday season is all about giving back and no one could use more help this year than one of our Santa for Seniors. A bad house had Fred and his dog living in a motel for several months while repairs were made.

Fred is back in his home but he's starting with nothing.

Carol Burdick from the Oneida County Office For Aging says "Fred is a very private person with really no family in the area. It has been a very trying time for him."

The only thing Fred asked for this year was a gift card to Pet Smart, along with treats and toys for his dog. But he needs are far greater after losing everything in the fire.

NEEDS

George Forman grill (donated)
Rug runners
XL Pajamas - flannel or other fabric (donated)
Queen size sheets, blankets & comforter - green or maroon (donated)
WalMart gift cards

"The biggest thing he mentioned was food. All his canned items food in the refrigerator was all thrown away. He shops at WalMart and would buy extra items when they were on sale to put in his pantry, that is now gone," Burdick says.

Donations need to be dropped off at our station, 9418 River Road in Marcy by Monday, December 7th.
