If you love smelling, eating or making barbecue, and the Adirondack Mountains, The Great Adirondack BBQ Festival was created just for you.

This weekend - July 28 and 29th, you'll be able to sample some of the best BBQ from not only New York State, but from all across the U.S. right in Old Forge at 201 North Street.

The 2nd Great Adirondack BBQ Festival will bring nationwide BBQ competitors together for a Kansas City BBQ Society sanctioned competition that will crown the Mid Atlantic BBQ State Championship for New York.

This year the competition has been expanded to include The Great Adirondack Cook Off, a local competition that lets amateur cooks to get in on the action.

Aside from watching amateurs and pros compete to see who makes the best BBQ pork, pork ribs, brisket and chicken, you'll be able to get food from vendors, adult beverages, and enjoy live music throughout the festival.

Tickets are just $5 and include entry to the festival, KCBS BBQ Competition, beer garden, live music all day and entry to the Old Forge Home Show.
