Saturday was an amazingly beautiful day. The temperatures were great and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. So, what better to do on a day like that than go apple picking? And, that's what we did. Lately, any trip we take, whether it be down the street or in another state, my camera is strapped to my side. It's my new hobby and stress reliever. I'd like to share with you some of the snaps I take each week. This week's theme--Apple Picking.

    "The Perfect Pick"

On this very picturesque Saturday, we were on our way to the LaFayette Apple Festival. But, unfortunately, there was a lot of traffic. A lot. So, we turned the car around. Everyone was in the apple-picking mood, so we didn't want to go home disappointed. We decided to get out the old GPS and found our way to Abbott Farms in Baldwinsville. We got our bag and started picking. That's when I got this snap. **(You can click on the pictures to make them bigger.)

    "Perfection"

When you go apple picking, the thrill is finding the perfect apple to add to your bag. You scour the orchard trying to find that flawless apple. After about 15 minutes, we think we found a pretty impeccable one. What do you think?

    "Harvest"

It wouldn't be fall without apples, right? It most definitely wouldn't be the fall season without pumpkins either. Whether it's pumpkin pie, carving it into a jack-o-lantern, or my favorite, pumpkin seeds, the pumpkin is the quintessential image of the autumn season. That's why I like this snap. You have the harvested pumpkin with the harvesting tool (the tractor).

    "Pumpkins!"

Next to winter, fall is my least favorite season. Well, I don't really like any of them, except for summer. But even though I don't like the fall season, there are aspects I can appreciate. One of those things is the pumpkin. It seems fall revolves around the image and taste of the pumpkin. Whether it's a pumpkin latte or the classic jack-o-lantern, the pumpkin is one of the archetypical images of the season. So, here's my tribute to the pumpkin.
