Last year at this time, I visited the Oneida County Public Market for the first time. Since it has expanded, I have not visited. Saturday was a nice day and I needed produce, so I decided to visit the public market once again. And, I'm glad I did. It has everything for every taste. There's, of course, fruits and vegetable and there's jewelry, bread, honey, cheese, meat, crafts and even fresh-squeezed lemonade. The Oneida County Public Market is open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Utica's Union Station. Today, I would like to share with you my photos from my trip to the public market. This week's theme--The Oneida County Public Market.

Utica’s Rutger Park Revisited—Zach’s Weekly Snaps [PHOTOS]
Two weeks ago, I took you on a photographic tour of Rutger Home number 3 in Utica’s historic Rutger Park. Yesterday, June 2, the Landmarks Society of Greater Utica held its annual "Picnic in the Park," where those who attended had the opportunity to get tours of the historic homes. And, ...

A few days ago, I told you about the fast-approaching deadline for the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute's annual Sidewalk Art Show. And, I have made the decision to enter the art contest. I have dabbled in photography for about a year, and I feel I'm ready to show some of my work. I have d ...

Utica’s Historic Rutger Park–Zach’s Weekly Snaps [PHOTOS]
I recently had the opportunity to visit Rutger Park on Rutger Street in Utica and tour Rutger Home number 3. History definitely come alive when you walk through the doors of the nearly 200 year old home. Staged to look like how it did when it was occupied, the beautiful architecture is still a sight to be seen, despite years of aging ...

More Signs of Peace–Zach’s Weekly Snaps [PHOTOS]
One of my favorite things to do is drive around or walk around and take pictures of what I see. Lately, when I go out, I see many signs of peace. Whether it's the word "peace" spelled out or a peace sign, I see them all over. Last year, I brought you an edition of Zach's Weekly Snaps that was dedicated to signs of peace. And, now ...

At the Market–Zach’s Weekly Snaps [PHOTOS]
I absolutely love open-air markets and farmers markets. These places have every fruit and vegetable imaginable and the prices are very reasonable. There is a huge market in Rochester, NY I like to go to when I visit family. The Rochester market has the usual stuff you would find at a market, like fruit, vegetables, crafts, clothes and household and garden supplies ...

Cemetery–Zach’s Weekly Snaps [PHOTOS]
Some people find cemeteries to be a scary place. Me? I find them to be far from scary, but rather a place filled with art. There's beautiful statues, wonderful carvings and many, many more visuals to look at. Yes, people are buried there, but if you can get past that and look at a cemetery as an artistic journey, you'll find many picturesque things. In my tr ...

If you've ever tried to take a cute picture of your dog or your cat, you know it can be a challenge. Not only do they move around a lot, by the time you get the camera, they've moved on to doing other things and are no longer in that cute pose. In my co ...

Around the House–Zach’s Weekly Snaps [PHOTOS]
Sometimes, you look around the house and you see things that look picture worthy. So, that's what I did. I looked around the house and found things that looked photogenic. With the picture above, I have a bit of an obsession with round glasses. And ... Read More ...

The Radio Station–Zach’s Weekly Snaps [PHOTOS]

I know that before I started to work at Big Frog 104, I was curious as to what the radio station looked like. You have an idea of what you think it looks like, but not a definite vision. It's like when you hear somebody on the radio--you have a vision in your mind of what that person looks like, but nothing definite. So, today, I'll give you a quick tour of the radio station. The photos are mainly of the equipment we use at the station. I would like to share with you those snaps. This week's theme--The Radio Station.

Country Roads–Zach’s Weekly Snaps [PHOTOS]
After a little bit of a hiatus from Zach's Weekly Snaps, I'm back with another installment. One of my favorite things to do is to grab my camera, hop in my car and drive--let the road take me wherever. It's always interesting to see what you'll find while you're driving on country roads in particular. So, one day, I got in m ...
