20 Years of Heroic Dedication: Honoring First Responder’s Commitment to CNY Community
Here's a First Responder who is always there when someone needs a hand and deserves recognition for everything he does for the community he calls home.
Meet Joseph Watkins
Joseph Watkins joined the North Chittenagno Volunteer Fire Department in New York shortly after his son Benjamin did in 1996 and he's been an asset since the day he started.
From working bingos, to being a captain and a certified First Responder for medical calls over the years. Joseph helps at every function and call he's at, driving the apparatus and answering the phones for storage.
Serving the Community for 20+ Years
With over 20 years in the community of North Chittenango, Joseph has held many positions with the county Fireman's Association and other organizations in the fire service.
Thank you Joseph for everything you do. Your endless support for your community has not gone unnoticed.
Nominate a First Responder
Do you know a first responder that deserves to be recognized? Tell us about someone who should be honored in Central New York - a firefighter, police officer, EMT, forest ranger, paramedic, DEC officer, military, rescuer, front-line worker, or any other person first on the scene.
Include their name, a picture, and why they should be recognized during 'First Responder Friday." We'll honor one first responder every Friday and as a way to say thank you, we'll give them a Bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes.
