This summer's Great New York State Fair returns to Syracuse on August 23 for a two week run that wraps up on Labor Day, Monday September 3.

Entertainment: Entertainment is scheduled at two different venues at the fairgrounds.

Paid headliners play nightly at the Grandstand while there are generally two free shows every day of the fair at Chevy Court.

Already scheduled for the Grandstand is Jason Aldean.

Competitions: To enter an exhibit in one of 15 different categories, grab the entry form from the Fair's website.

Trivia: The fair is so big it stops traffic on one of Syrcause's busiest interstates.  Interstate highways were designed to travel without stopping.  However, during the fair there is a stoplight installed on Interstate 690 to allow for fair traffic to cross the expressway.
