Thomas Rhett cut his teeth on country music, growing up with a dad in the business.  Rhett Akins Sr. recorded his own hits in the 90's and still writes them today.  Including both of Thomas' #1's, 'It Goes Like This' and 'Get Me Some Of That.'  That may explain why at 24 he has the confident sound of someone who has been at it for years.
