Advice For Mom Who Lets Her Kid Hit A Woman

Have you seen this video of a boy hitting a woman while whoever is filming laughs? It's sparked quite the controversy and makes my blood boil.

The video, posted by Snoop Monkey, shows a boy around 6 years old, hitting a woman who could be his mother or sister. Although you can't understand what is being said because it's in another language, you can hear laughing. Laughing! This is NOT funny!

What happened to discipline? A child who hits a woman while someone laughs will grow up to be a man who hits a woman. Not teaching our kids it's not ok to hit a woman is NOT OK.

From an early age, I put the fear of God in my child and she's still scared of me today. She knows if she misbehaves it won't end well. Like the time she spit in my face when she was two or three. She sat in her room so I could calm down. Or the time she kept acting up in Walmart and Tadpole sent us BOTH to the car because I'm not scared to discipline my child in public.

The video created quite the conversation after I shared it on my Facebook page.

Amanda Burkhart: My husband, myself and a friend were talking about this earlier!!! My exact words were "I would be in jail for knocking that kid clear across the room"!! Parents need to teach their children how to act instead of relying on electronics to do the parenting!
