Even though we want Summer to stick around forever, it's just not possible. That is why we have Utica Comets hockey to look forward to.

The announcement came earlier today via The Utica Comet's Twitter:

According to The Comets website:

Tickets will be sold exclusively in-person at The AUD box office beginning at 10 a.m. They will only be sold at the Labatt Blue box office (facing Cornelia St.). Tickets will be opened up to online and phone orders through Ticketmaster at 1 p.m. No tickets will be sold over the phone through the Comets office or The AUD box office. There will again be five levels of ticket pricing for individual games this season that will range from $15 to $25.

According to the Communications Director for the Comets, Mark Caswell, "Fans were lined up at 3am last year for those tickets. We also had players deliver donuts and coffee to the fans in line."

I am very excited for the upcoming season, especially with how well they finished off the season last year. If you speak with any Comets fan they will agree if you take away the first ten games of the inaugural season, Utica's AHL team would probably have made the playoffs. With players like Darren Archibald and goal tender Joacim Eriksson still under contract, I believe they will only be better. Thank Goodness for Utica Hockey!

The first Comets home game is scheduled for Wednesday, October 22nd @ 7pm!
