The slang words kids use today are nothing like the words we use to use.  If you have a teenager, you know what I'm talking about.  Need help understanding your kids?  There is a website that translates kids street slang so we know what the heck our kids are saying.  The site contains almost a hundred fefinitions for words commonly used by teens.

Chirps (to chat up) Not what a bird says
Dry (boring) ok that makes sense
Nang (brilliant)
Bait (obvious)  I thought it was something you put on the end of a hook
Rents (parents)
Jays (on their own)
Flossing (showing off) Isn't this something you do to your teeth
Hench (to be strong)

I don't know about you, but I'm more confused now than when I started reading the definitions.  Need more help?  Log onto Family Lives to find the odd words your kids are using and what they mean.  They could be calling you bad names behind your back without you even knowing it.
