Tentative Deal Reached in NHL Lockout

Hockey is back! Hockey is back!  The two sides in the NHL lockout have reached a tentative agreement after a 16 hour bargaining session that ended just before 5 a.m.

USA Today is reporting the 10 year agreement will put an end to the 113 day lockout and see hockey resume before the end of the month.  The season has not been finalized yet but there will be no fewer than 48 games.

Who gets the credit for saving the NHL season?  Federal mediator Scot Beckenbaugh is the hero to all hockey fans and player.  Edmenton Oiler Sam Gagner Tweeted his thanks
