Morrocco lost both arms and both legs as a result of a roadside bomb in Iraq but his indomitable spirit has paid off as he has become the first soldier to receive a double arm transplant. His amazing story has prompted a country superstar to reach out to him.
January 16, 2013 A round of applause for Wal-Mart. Starting on Memorial Day, the company will hire 100,000 veterans over the next five years. Anyone who served their country and was honorably discharged has been promised a job within 12 months of returning home.

December 7, 2012 Today, December 7, is Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, a day we commemorate the attack on Pearl Harbor by the Imperial Japanese Navy, an attack which cost the lives of 2000 American service men, women and other citizens. The number of Pearl Harbor survivors is growing shorter every year so it is important to recognize them as well as those whose lives were sacrificed that Sunday morning. November 12, 2012 We at Big Frog 104 salute veterans and those serving in our military today on the observance of Veterans' Day. We thank you for your service; many of whom have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. As today is a federal holiday, there are a number of closings today.
