Blake Shelton, dressed in his dapper black suit, vest and all, kicked off the night by grabbing the first contestant, British rocker Terry McDerrmott. Blake had to work hard to get him too since Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine also turned their chairs around, hoping to get Terry on their team. In the end, it was Blake's pitch to allow Terry to just stand on stage and talk. The ladies love an accent. It may have also been the offer to swap vests.

NBC’s runaway hit singing competition ‘The Voice‘ has scored four nominations in the 2012 Emmy Awards. The reality show, which features country’s own Blake Shelton as a judge, earned nominations in the categories of Outstanding Art Direction for Variety or Nonfiction Programming, Outstanding Hairstyling for a Multi-Camera Series or Special, and Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media Enhancement to a Television Program or Series.
