According to the Huffington Post 22.8 percent of Americans reported suffering from allergy symptoms so far this April, compared to 20.8 percent in April 2011 and 21.8 percent in April 2010. What are the reasons for the early onset?

YouTube MVCC Nursing Students Win First Place in National Contest [VIDEO]

Nursing students at MVCC have won first place in a National Student Nursing Association competition. The students had to produce a song and video promoting this years theme the "Joy of Nursing". The video was then posted online and on our site three weeks ago, and voted on in competition with several other schools. The MVCC entry garnered the most votes and was declared the winner. A group of students went to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to attend an NSNA conference. Check out the winning video featuring Lynzie Quinn and Brittany Gant.

I did it again today. I was in line at a grocery store checkout counter patiently waiting when I spotted it. A dark chocolate Dove Bar. I always rationalize buying one of these by telling my self dark chocolate is a heart healthy choice. However according to a study I came across from IHL impulse buying at the checkout counter can be tough on the waistline with candy, chips and soda the primary culprits.

No, this is not a hoax. J. Wilson of Corning, Iowa consumed nothing but water and dopplelbock beer, a hardy brew favored by an order of German monks, for 46 days. His purpose according to LA Weekly was not to experience a continual buzz but to test his willpower and exercise his spirituality. He has now chronicled his experiences in a book entitled "Diary of A Part Time Monk".

After doing 50 minutes on a treadmill I feel a sense of great accomplishment. Imagine how insufficient I felt when I heard about the 100-year old man who ran and finished a full marathon yesterday in Toronto, Ontario. According to AP Fauja Singh finished the marathon in a little under 8 hours some 6 hours behind the race winner Kenneth Mungara of Kenya.
