AT&T Hero Donald Moore Joins New York State Police
October 23, 2012 It was on May 27, 2010 that an angry customer, Abraham Dicken, walked into the AT&T location in New York Mills and started shooting. Several employees had been hit by gunfire when off duty Rome Police officer Donald Moore drew his revolver, shot and killed Dicken before the gunman could cause more harm. Moore was hailed as a hero for his actions and now he will continue his law enforcement career as a member of the New York State Police.
