Round is a Shape, Tad’s Quest to Lose Weight
I couldn't tell you the last time I was what they call "in shape." But a few weeks after the golf season came to an end, the jeans were already getting a little tighter. And we all know the holidays always add a few more pounds. It was time to do something, especially after looking at this picture of me and Brook Hogan.
About 3 weeks ago I started a weight loss program with Dr. G's Weight Loss and Wellness in the New Hartford Shopping Center. I chose Dr. G's because there weren't any meal plans to buy, supplements that curb your appetite while others speed up your metabolism. There's also Vitamin B shots that pick up your energy and will help fight depression on those cold, cloudy days.
It figures my timing would be off right from the beginning. I started with Dr G's plan on Thursday, November 3, two days before we leave town for a week. I started at a robust 220 pounds. I keep hearing the line from "Jaws." "We're gonna need a bigger boat."
My first weigh-in was Tuesday the 15th. Despite spending a week with little choice but to eat fast food for many meals, I dropped 11 pounds down to 209. I can live with that. While the suggestion is to only hit the scales every 2 weeks, I want a pre&post Thanksgiving reading.
