Poison Ivy Looks More Like Tadpole Took a Punch to the Face

Poison Ivy packs quite a punch. Tadpole looks like he caught a fist to the face but it's actually poison ivy and wait til you see his arm.

Calamine lotion isn't working on the itchy rash that according to the DEC appears up to 24 hours after exposure and in some people can progress to severe blistering and may require steroid treatment. From the looks of his arms, Tadpole is going to need those steroids.

Tadpole almost wasn't the only one in the family with Poison Ivy. While golfing, I had to relieve myself because when you gotta go, you gotta go. This is what I found myself relieving myself in the middle of. I don't know if it was poison ivy or not but I wasn't taking any chances. Since it had three leaves I backed out very slowly.

One thing I did learn with my close encounter with possible Poison Ivy. Wash in cold water. Warm water opens your pores and allows the sap from the Poison Ivy to spread. Good thing I didn't have it since I took a hot shower when I got home.
