Newcastle Brown Aloe is making history with the first ever entirely crowd-funded Super Bowl ad. The beer company's new commercial is playfully criticizing the growing buildup and promotion for game day ads. They teamed up with 36 brands to pull togeth3er the money for a one minute spot, which costs a record $4.5 million for :30 this year.

The commercial starts with a couple moving into a new home but takes a turn as they speed up their lines in a race to cram all the slogans in before the 60 seconds runs out.

Newcastle's brand director says the ad is meant to "make a statement that Big Game advertising should be accessible to everyone, whether they can afford it or not."

Even with help to pay for the spot, Newcastle's ad only earned enough to buy airtime in one market on Sunday; Palm Springs, California. But you watch it below.
