Message Meant For Mom Sent to Police Officer By Mistake

We've all done it. You send a text or Facebook message and realize it went to the wrong person. Some are innocent while others are embarrassing. My recent mis-sent message falls into the latter category.

My mother was worried about us travelling to North Carolina while Hermine was hitting the coast. She wanted us to let her know when we arrived so I sent her a Facebook message, picture included, when we landed safely. When I didn't hear back for several hours I checked to see what was going on. Turns out I sent the message to the wrong person. Instead of my mother, the message and picture went to a POLICE OFFICER.

Thankfully there wasn't anything incriminating in the message and the officer took the mistake in stride, saying 'Well I'm glad you made it. Have fun. LOL."
