Meet the newest member of the Buffalo Zoo. Nico is an adorable ocelot, better known as the dwarf leopard. Ocelots are cats found within the wild South America.

English naturalist Richard Lydekker says the ocelot is "one of the most difficult members of the feline family to describe" but wildlife author Ernest Thompson Seton gave it a try, describing the coat of the ocelot as "the most wonderful tangle of stripes, bars, chains, spots, dots and smudges...which look as though they were put on as the animal ran by.

The ocelot is most active at twilight and at night and you can watch Nico get use to his new habitat and play with mom in this adorable video below.
