Grammy award winning Lynn Anderson has passed away at the age of 67. The cause of her death has not been released.

The news was broken by Music Row just this afternoon. Taste of Country reports Anderson died on Thursday (July 30) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville after suffering a heart attack. She had recently been hospitalized for pneumonia after a trip to Italy. Lynn was 67 years old.

The multi-award-winning singer is known for a string of hits throughout the 1970s and 1980s, most notably her country-pop hit “(I Never Promised You a) Rose Garden.” Anderson became one of the most successful country singers of the ’70s. She shared the stage with legends Lucille Ball, Bing Crosby, John Wayne and many others.

Our friends at 98.1 The Hawk also point out that Anderson was also named Top Female Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music (ACM) twice, and Female Vocalist of the Year by the Country Music Association (CMA).

Anderson is survived by her father and three children. Funeral arrangements are pending.
