Luke Bryan says he washes his clothes minimally, especially his jeans. He says he just hangs them up and says he can get about five shows out of them. But, maybe he would start washing his jeans if he knew that 8,500 and 10,000 bacterial units per square centimeter are found on a pair of dirty jeans.

A new study by the University of Alberta found that the bacterial count on jeans worn everyday for 15 months is the same as if they were worn for 13 days. The study finds that that there are five different kinds of skin based bacteria on jeans that are not washed.

Hear that, Luke? You might want to run those jeans through a washing machine a bit more! But, in Luke's defense, I did read in a major clothing store that to get jeans fully broken in, you shouldn't wash them for a few months.
