Anytime there is an animal in need in Central New York you can almost guarantee that the amazing volunteers from Lainey's Army are somewhere close by to help pick up the pieces. They are in constant need of donations and support, but things are about to get very challenging as they will soon take in about 50 dogs from a hoarding situation.

According to a Lainey's Army volunteer, Donna Delanno, this Thursday, September 1st, 2016 from 1-8 Lainey's Army will be receiving these animal in need. She says, "50 dogs that have been rescued from an animal hoarder, will be delivered to Lainey's Army at 75 Oriskany Blvd. in Yorkville, NY (next to the post office). We will not know what kind of condition they are in until they arrive. Kim Strong put out the urgent "911" for supplies."

A full list of supplies needed include:

  • Clorox Bleach
  • Blankets
  • Medium and Large Dog Crates (To Borrow)
  • Dawn Dish Soap
  • Cotton Balls
  • Food

Dr. Chris Lawton will be assessing the heath of all the animals to be rescued.

Monetary donations and volunteers would also be greatly appreciated. The vet bills for these animals will be astronomical. Many people are already stepping up to help. Dave Hogan from Fastrac is already donating a bunch of pizza for feeding volunteers, and Geraldine Spencer is already coordinating temporary foster situations for these pups. You can contact her at 315-525-7469. If you have any other questions you can visit the Lainey's Army Facebook page. The group's leader, Kim Strong, will continue to update us on the condition of the animals. Anything you can do to help is greatly appreciated. You can also reach out to Kim at 315-794-6372.
