Keith Urban Writes and Sings ‘For You’ For ‘Act of Valor’ Movie

Keith Urban proves he can do more than sing.  He co-wrote the song 'For You' for the Navy SEAL action-thriller 'Act of Valor.'  This is the first time Keith has written and recorded a song for a movie.  You'll hear the tune under the film's end credits.  It'll also be available on iTunes and on the movie soundtrack, in stores February 21st.

On his website, Keith says he  'loved the challenge of writing for a film.  After seeing Act Of Valor, my co-writer (Monty Powell) and I wanted to capture the essence of not only what these men and women do so extraordinarily, but how that relates to all of us. 'Valor' shows us what they are willing to give their all for, which made me wonder, 'what am I willing to give my life for?' ‘For You’ is intended to allow the listener to define who that is for them.”

Inspired by true events, 'Act of Valor' revolves around a group of active-duty Navy SEALS called into action to rescue a kidnapped CIA operative and stop a deadly terrorist plot against the U.S. The movie will be in theaters February 24th.
