Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher shot and killed his girlfriend, Kasandra Perkins before killing himself.

Police say Perkins was shot several times at a home near the teams facility after she and Belcher got into an argument Saturday morning.  Belcher then drove to the facility and shot himself in the parking lot in front of Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli and head coach Romeo Crennel.

Belcher and Perkins have a two month old daughter together.

The practice facility was evacuated and placed on lock down after the shooting.

The Chiefs are set to play the Carolina Panthers at Arrowhead stadium Sunday at 1pm.

The incident was first reported by FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, who tweeted "players are being told to go Stadium for team meeting on what has gone down but more details I'm getting, not a good situation."
