Registered Nurses/Licensed Practical Nurses - Currently Seeking Full-time Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses

The Registered Nurse is responsible to assess and monitor medical concerns, review, provide nursing care to program participants, complete required documentation, provide in services to staff, collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners, certify AMAP’s, review and act on incident reports, provide on-call coverage and participate in Agency activities.

 

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible to provide daily nursing care, order medications, provide updates to the RN and Nurse Practitioners, train and orient AMAP’s, schedule appointments, participate in Agency activities and complete required documentation.

The Direct Support Professional provides services to children & adults who have intellectual and or physical disabilities at Agency locations, their home, and in community settings. Depending on the needs of the individuals, Direct Support Professionals provide assistance with living skills development, health maintenance and medication administration, personal care, and behavioral development. Working under the direction of a supervisor, Direct Support Professionals work to provide services that enrich the lives of the individuals we serve and to provide possibilities that support people and create opportunities to fulfill life choices. Direct Support Professionals also advocate for individuals to be fully integrated into community life. All shifts available – Paid Training! Many of our DSP’s go on to other positions within the Agency through our Tuition Reimbursement Programs!

The Special Education Teacher is responsible to see that each child’s IEP is carried out and provide instruction designed to fulfill the requirements of the IEP, take part in interdisciplinary team meetings, oversee class room aides and assistants, compile reports and statistics, maintain supplies and participate in Agency activities.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Current Professional New York State Teacher Certification in students with disabilities for the appropriate age group being taught or a current Permanent New York State Teacher Certification in Special Education.
  • Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word and Excel)

The Registered Physical Therapist/Occupational Therapist is responsible to evaluate and assess program participants, educate individuals and team members, complete required documentation, communicate with other health care professionals on the program participants’ IP/IEP, assist with departmental maintenance and supplies, participate in Agency activities, assist in orientation to the department and assist with equipment adaptation. Participate as member of interdisciplinary treatment team for OT/SP/PT Must have current License for PT/OT in the State of NY.
