UPDATE: For now, the family is good on hay and feed and have no room to store additional. They will have a need for more hay and feed in the future.

The community is coming together to help the family who lost everything in a tragic barn fire in Trenton. But the cattle needs help too.

"In the wake of our family tragedy with the fire all eyes and thoughts are on the humans, but if anyone wants to help in other ways they were able to save 44 head of cattle but lost all there feed," Bernie Synakowski wrote on Facebook. "So if anyone has hay or silage to donate let me know because they still have to feed them."

The blaze started in a shop behind the house on Route 365 in the Town of Trenton. The high winds spread the flames to the home and a nearby barn, causing an estimated $750,000 in damage.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the Synakowski family recover.
