“Diabetes Update 2016”, a patient education program, will take place at Slocum-Dickson Medical Group’s New Hartford location on Wednesday, November 16th at 6:00 pm in Education Room B. The event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Anderson is board certified in Internal Medicine as well as Endocrinology and Metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Anderson completed a fellowship in Endocrinology at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. He completed a residency at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, IL. He also completed an internship at Northwestern University, Passavent Hospital in Chicago, IL. He received his Medical Degree from Tufts University in Medford, MA. Dr. Anderson is a member of both the Endocrine Society and the American Society of Hypertension. Dr. Anderson sees patients at Slocum-Dickson’s New Hartford, Rome & Ilion locations. Specialty services provided by Dr. Anderson include general endocrinology, thyroid disorders, diabetes, insulin pump, gestational diabetes, thyroid biopsy, thyroid cancer, osteoporosis and 24 hour blood pressure monitor.
Dr. Anderson will be joined by special guest speakers, Jameel Arastu, MD and Vikram Bisen, MD. Dr. Arastu is trained in both adult and pediatric neurology. He completed his Fellowship in Child Neurology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA and his Pediatric Residency at Columbus-Cabrini Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Dr. Arastu completed an Internship and received his medical degree at Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. Dr. Arastu is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Bisen specializes in Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Bisen completed his Interventional Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Bridgeport Hospital, Yale New Haven Health System in Bridgeport, CT. He completed his General Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship and Internal Medicine Residency at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Dr. Bisen also earned his Medical Degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University where he was a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Bisen is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Society of Echocardiography.
