If you don't look outside you can almost think spring is nearly here.  Basbeall spring training is well underway, NASCAR is already 2 races into the season and even the PGA Tour has left Hawaii and the West Coast for Florida Tournaments.  But us Central New Yokers know there could still be a lot of shoveling still do.  In fact the experts say March is known for bring some very nasty storms.  Check out some videos and pictures of the bigger ones.

Winter Storm Nemo Updated

UPDATED 6:45pm: Steady snow will fall through midnight.  Expect an additional 2-3 inches

UPDATED 5:14pm: Nemo is over our area and snow is expected to continue through early morning.  Heavy snow will begin soon and last until about 10:30 tonight.  3-5 inches is expected. Be advised!

A big winter storm is on the way.  We could see up to 10 inches of snow.  According to The Weather Channel, the storm warning will be up until 7 a.m. Saturday.

Is There a Nor’easter on the Way (2/6/13)?

The short answer to that question is yes.  The good news for Central New York is that the Nor'easter's biggest impact will most likely be Massachusetts and Rhode Island.  The National Weather says there is the potential for a historic winter storm and blizzard.  For CNY we can still expect some pretty heavy snow fall.

A lake effect snow advisory is up until 8 Monday morning for Southern Oneida, Madison and Onondaga counties. 4 to 8 inches is expected with wind gusts up to 30 MPH.  Temperatures will fall into the teens with wind chills down to zero.
