When I was in school (here I go sounding like grandpa) getting caught chewing gum in class was a punishable offense. Now, apparently, it has shown to be helpful to students doing math both in class and with homework. A FoxNews report says a study by Baylor College of Medicine found that students who chewed gum while working on math tests scored better than those who didn't.

Tooth Fairy Payoffs Less During Recession

Most kids are comforted by the fact that when they lose a baby tooth they will be compensated for that loss by the tooth fairy. However while the price of gold is going up the price of enamel is apparently going down. Oneida County Health Department officials have closed both Sylvan Beach and Verona Beach to swimmers following the discovery of a suspicious algae in the waters of Oneida Lake. According to a report from NewsChannel 2 WKTV inspectors from the Health Department were conducting a routine inspection when they discovered the blue-green algae which, they say, could be toxic and closed the beaches.

CNY Man Dies Of Head Injury During Motorcycle Helmet Law Protest

It is one of the most hotly debated issues amongst motorcycle riders, law enforcement and insurance carriers. Should riders be required to wear a helmet.
