While Keith Urban is known for shredding an electric guitar in most of his songs,  it was a bass guitar that created his latest hit, John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16.  Watch as Keith gives us a rare "behind the scenes" look at the making of the song.

Maybe it's the kid in me, but I still have that inquisitive desire to know how things come about.  And Keith fulfills that desire with this video, that some are calling a "documentary short."  It chronicles Keith's frustration from "how to even start the song," to the elation of finding that "sexy rhythm."  It all ends with a "gang vocal" as accompanying singers read the lyrics from their phones because they don't know the words.

Warning the lyrics, "John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16" will be stuck in your head at the end of the video below.  It runs a little over 7 minutes, so you may not want to start watching at work.
