Become a Fur-Ever Home at Herkimer Humane Society's Mutt Strut

You could be the most important person a dog or cat has ever met at the Herkimer County Humane Society's annual Mutt Strut adoption event.

The annual Mutt Strut will be held on June 2, from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Herkimer College.

You can bring your own dog and walk around the marked course on campus, check out dozens of vendors, and most importantly meet some of the foster animals that are looking for their next 'fur-ever home.'

The Herkimer County Humane Society's volunteers will have several doggies on hand for you to meet. Who knows, maybe you'll fall in love and leave with a brand-new member of the family.

The Herkimer County Humane Society's Mutt Strut raises thousands of dollars every year for the shelter, which is run almost exclusively through donations and volunteer hours.

A rain date is scheduled for June 3.
