Darius Rucker, ‘If I Told You’ [Listen]
Darius Rucker adopts a spoken-word style for the verses of "If I Told You." It's a change of pace that instantly turns heads toward the speakers, but within 60 seconds he's again proving he's the most passionate vocalist in country music.
Dustin Lynch, ‘Seein’ Red’ [Listen]
Dustin Lynch is taking a decidedly more progressive direction with his new single, "Seein' Red," which takes his sound well beyond what he's offered fans in the past.
Blake Shelton, ‘She’s Got a Way With Words’ [Listen]
If recorded by nearly any other artist, Blake Shelton's "She’s Got a Way With Words" would be a fairly milquetoast ballad about an ex-lover. But that it’s on If I’m Honest and not another album from 2016 makes it one of the more compelling songs of the year.
Gary Allan, ‘Do You Wish It Was Me’ [Listen]
Gary Allan's new single "Do You Wish It Was Me?" is hot with desire. The rising ballad from an upcoming album finds the singer doing what’s most comfortable.

Zac Brown Band, ‘Castaway’ [Listen]
Zac Brown Band’s "Castaway" is as reggae-influenced and beachy as the band has ever been. The island-friendly track from Jekyll + Hyde is "Toes" and "Knee Deep" smushed together and amplified.
Blake Shelton, ‘Friends’ [Listen]
Blake Shelton’s "Friends" is a huggable country addition to The Angry Birds Movie soundtrack. The uplifting lyric will be featured prominently in the film. It’s a catchy melody that would sound perfect over the end credits.
Jason Aldean, ‘Lights Come On’ [Listen]
Jason Aldean returns to a sound his longtime fans are familiar with on “Lights Come On,” the first single from his next studio album. There’s not a whiff of R&B influence to be found on this straightforward country rocker. It’s a song built for his live show.
You Think You Know Reba McEntire?
Reba McEntire really is the hardest working woman in country music. The legend grew up in a rancher's household, meaning she often got more done before sunrise than some do in a week. There were some jobs that weren't for the squeamish ... OK, there's one job in particular that will m…
