Oswego County officials have decided to close Taft bay Beach in Constantia after finding high levels of bacteria in the water.

The Taft Bay Beach at the David C. Webb Memorial Park will stay closed to swimmers until further notice after high levels of E. Coli bacteria were discovered in the lake this month.

The David C. Webb Memorial Park will continue to hold their daily recreation program, but until the Health Department officials determine the levels of bacteria have decreased, no swimming will be allowed.
