2013 Taste of Country Music Festival’s Charles Kelly of Lady Antebellum Golfing in Pro-Am
2013 Taste of Country Music Festival performer Charles Kelly of Lady Antebellum can do more than just sing. He’s trading in his microphone for golf clubs this week to take part in the AT&T Pebble Beach national Pro-AM Celebrity Challenge.
Kelly will be playing with pro golfer Tommy Gainey. And he’s no stranger to the golf course. From this picture, it looks like he’s been playing for awhile.
Charles isn’t the only country star hitting the links. Darius Rucker, Jake Owen and Clay Walker join a number of celebrities, including Tony Romo, Bill Murray, Ray Romano and Kenny G. Jake will play with Kelly Kraft. Clay is teamed up with Jeff Maggert and Darius joins Jim Furyk.
Some got in a few practice holes yesterday, including Jake Owen who birdied the 18th hole. Check out his tee shot.
The Pro-Am beings today and runs through Sunday. The celebrity challenge is scheduled for today.
The event raises money for a variety of charities in California that support a range of causes including art, education, children and the environment.
Charles Kelly will join Hillary Scotty and Dave Haywood to do what he does best at the Taste of County Music Festival at Hunter Mountain June 13-15th.
