If you have a wedding in the future and want something a little different, how about the old Catskill Game Farm.

The 'Giraffe House' is being converted into an Inn to host weddings and events. The rooms will be named for animals which once lived on the property, giving guests the ability to stay in "The Giraffe Room" or the "Rhino Room" filled with tasteful decor depicting each creature.

The game farm still needs final approval from the planning board but owner Cathy Ballone says they expect to have the Inn ready by June or July 2019, just in time for wedding season.

You can also go glamping next Spring with two options to choose from; the wooded or overlook sites.

The Wooded Site is tucked in the woods where you can still see remnants of an old homestead's foundation behind what once was The Big Cat Exhibit in the former Zoo. This is a great site for smaller groups or families who want to feel like they are nestled in the woods.

The Overlook Site is set on top of a high area outside the park which over looks a beautiful open area where you will often see wildlife strolling through. This is a great site for large groups or for families who would like to play outdoor games. There is a significant amount of open space.

There are canvas tents tucked into hundreds of acres of uninhabited land giving you the perfect get a way on a truly unique property. You can overlook a meadow to view wild life, walk miles of wooded trails or even explore the abandoned zoo during your stay. The tents include a wood stove so you can stay warm.
