Yankees’ 10 Game Lead Gone

The New York Yankees spent 84 consecutive days in sole possession of first place of the American League East, until last night. The Bronx Bombers had held first place since July  before dropping a second straight game in Tampa. With 27 games left the surprising Orioles have tied New York atop the division standings with Tampa lurking just a game and a half behind. Read more on the playoff race here.
