The National Weather Service out of Binghamton has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Central New York. 

This warning is from 10PM this evening (12/11) through 6PM Wednesday. This warning has been issued for Northern Oneida, Onondaga, Madison and Southern Oneida
Counties.

Heavy snow expected. Travel will be very difficult to impossible, including during the commute on Tuesday and Wednesday. Snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches by midday Tuesday, then an additional 5 to 10 inches Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday. Storm total snowfall will be between 7 to 15 inches by late Wednesday afternoon.

The first portion of the storm will bring a period of light to moderate snow tonight. There will be a lull in the snow late Tuesday morning, before an arctic frontal boundary moves through bringing snow squalls Tuesday afternoon, then periods of heavy lake effect snow Tuesday night and Wednesday. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow late Tuesday night and especially on Wednesday."
