With all the rain in upstate New York, everyone has prepared for flooding. In Watertown, flooding is causing all sorts of issues for residents.

Schools in Watertown had to cancel classes due to massive flooding in the middle school and high school. WWNY is reporting that flooding has been so bad, they were unable to flush toilets at Case Middle School after the sewer drain backed up in the basement of the building. Also at the high school, the Large Group Instruction classroom was 2 to 3 feet deep with water.

As of Monday morning, the city has seen just under 4 inches of water. Many homes and businesses are currently flooded. Another half to three-quarters of an inch is expected through the overnight hours, with less than half an inch on Tuesday.

As always with flooding, please drive safe on all roads.
