The Utica College Pioneers men's hockey team got the first goal of the game en route to a 4-1 victory over Salve Regina at the 11th annual NY Sash Teddy Bear Toss Game on Saturday night.

The Pioneer's first goal of the game came on a Joel Wetmore penalty shot, and with much excitement cued fans to launch their stuffed animals onto the ice. The bears and other plush toys are collected and donated to the area agencies that service less fortunate families in the Utica community - including Operation Sunshine, the Marine Corps League's Toys for Tots and Time Warner Cable's Toys for Kids.
