Are you ready to get 'Redneck Crazy' with Tyler Farr who's coming to Wild West FrogFest & Rodeo at Herkimer County Fairgrounds June 14th with White's Farm Supply.

Farr is excited to travel north this summer to entertain fans he didn't realize he had. 'When you think of New York, I never thought anyone knew who I was there. I played there a few times and got great reactions from fans, so I'm looking forward to be playing there again for them.'

Farr and two former FrogFest guests, Josh Thompson and Rodney Atkins were in Times Square just this past summer, a place he didn't think he'd be. 'That was something I never thought I'd be doing. That was a cool moment. I was with Josh

Being out there with him, doing everything from hanging out to babysitting George's grand kids while he had a show, lit a spark in my heart for country music.'

Thompson and we stuck out in New York. I think we were the only people in Times Square in camouflage coats.'

Farr's passion for country music came when he was a teenager, one summer on road with his step-father, who played in George Jones band. 'That was the turning point for me. If wasn't for going on the road with my step-dad, hanging out backstage and on George's bus, I wouldn't be here today. Being out there with him, doing everything from hanging out to babysitting George's grand kids while he had a show, lit a spark in my heart for country music.'

Music

'Redneck Crazy' is the song that really jump started Farr's career. It also allowed him to blow things up in the video for the song, including Martina McBride's car. 'What guy doesn't like to blow up stuff. It was actually Martina McBride's old cars from one of her music videos. When you're just starting out you have to come up with different stuff that people will want to watch. You blow up Martina's car, you're probably going to get people to watch.'

'Redneck Crazy'

Has Farr ever gone Redneck Crazy? 'In some way, shape or form maybe. I've never done the ex, drive up on their lawn, throwing beer cans thing. I didn't write the song so I didn't live that. I did go through a breakup and feel those emotions.'

But Farr did write his current single, so does that mean he enjoys a little whiskey in his water? 'I don't mind that at all. I'll have to get some of that when I come up for FrogFest.'

Free Time

When he isn't on the road, how does Farr like to spend his free time? 'I usually retreat to the woods. I'm a big outdoors man. I like to be around the lake, river, beach.  You're around people all the time when you're an artist and I love people to death, but you need some time to reboot your mind. That's the best way I've found to do that and stay sane. Even on the road we'll get out there. I'm sure there will be a few turkeys, not talking about people, the actual animal, that will be in trouble with me and Mr. Aldean this Spring.'

He even has a special case for his weapon.

Pet Peeves

Although Farr is on social media, how some people use it is one of his biggest pet peeves. 'People who post every moment of their lives on social media. These kids have instagram, twitter, facebook and iPhones now a days. Lord have mercy. Help us. I'm out to save the youth of America. Look out.'

I turned 30. Now hangovers get worse, there's more lower back pain, can't eat what you to. It's all coming together now. They warned me

Farr recently celebrated a birthday, turning 30, making him feel older. 'I just injured my back in a competitive Team Aldean vs Farr basketball game the same week I turned 30. That made me feel a little timely.  Now hangovers get worse, there's more lower back pain, can't eat what you to. It's all coming together now. They warned me.'

At a recent radio industry concert, Farr had the crowd on their feet, receiving a standing ovation. 'My job is to host party. Whether it's 20 thousand on the Jason Aldean tour or 25 people, that's what we do.'

Sounds like FrogFest is the perfect place for Tyler Farr to be. It's one hell of a party.
