Risks and Symptoms
The pills contain more active ingredient than intended, which can cause an overactive thyroid or hyperthyroidism.
Symptoms may include weight loss, heat intolerance, fatigue, nervousness, muscle weakness, hypertension, rapid heart rate, or chest pain.
This is especially dangerous for those including pregnant women, infants, and elderly patients face the highest risk for serious cardiac or developmental complications.
