Three Central New York Chefs on Food Network’s Cooking Competition
Three central New York chefs are headed to Flavortown for a cooking competition on the Food Network.
DeAnna Germano, Mark Germano and Jason Jessmore of The Chef & The Cook in Syracuse will compete on the Food Network's 'Guy's Grocery Games,' where chefs dash through grocery store aisles, overcoming challenges, to create a masterpiece in 5 minutes or less or on a $10 budget.
"It was really an experience," said Mark Germano. "It's very different than you expect from watching the show but overall it was fun."
Mark, DeAnna and Jason will compete against two other chef trios from Boston and Philadelphia, according to Syracuse.com. "I love the fact we walked away knowing the other teams so well," said DeAnna. "We talk to them on a weekly basis and are even planning events with them soon."
The episode, hosted by Guy Fieri, airs May 1st at 9pm and there's a viewing party at The Chef & The Cook with hors d’oeuvres, large viewing screens inside and out as well as a selfie booth and giveaways.
The Chef & The Cook on Syracuse Street in Baldwinsville is a one-of-a-kind culinary establishment with a menu inspired by the idea of a chef’s career. From classic recipes to new-age kitchen adventures, each dish reflects the chef’s collective passion.
Good luck Chefs. Bring some central New York flavor to Flavortown!
